My motto for family (and really most of my sessions) is “Fun, not forced”. 

There is a reason you have searched for a family photographer and did not just walk into JcPenny’s (is that even still a thing?) to sit down and have your family photo taken.  

I do not need to sell you on why family photos are important, you are the one searching the internet for one after all.  But I may need to give you some talking points in case anyone in your family starts grumbling about having the pictures taken. 

I am a lifestyle family photographer.  What does that mean?  Well, the short answer is, I don’t pose you, but I don’t skip it entirely either.  It’s somewhere perfectly in between.  I give you guidance, directions, and prompts. During your session I aim to capture the authenticity of your family, I strive to bring everyone’s unique personality out and really show the connection within your family.  Get this - I have even had dads and teens say “Ok, that wasn’t bad after all”.
